Image
Remember ThredUp? I shared them with you several months ago, but I’ll be honest when my FREE trial ended I didn’t sign up for it. BUT right now at Deal Pulp you can get a box of your choice for just $1 ! The deal is one box of used clothing for only $6. If you are new to Deal Pulp , you will also get $5 off your first purchase making it only $1. You can purchase one per account and one as a gift.

NOT LEGIT: Cricut Cartridges as Low as $3.99!

Image
I said this deal was too good to be true, and it was. This company is not in business. They will take your order and your credit card information, but not ship product. This concerns me about what is happening with the credit card information provided to them, so be VERY careful and I would recommend staying away from this site completely. Okay, this deal sounds too good to be true, but I was able to check out and purchase several different cartridges at significant discounts from an online, discount scrapbooking store called Scrap-n-Save ! As always with this crazy of a sale, there is the chance that there is a glitch somewhere or that we will get an email that says they are sold out and can not fulfill our order. However, as these cartridges usually run 439.99 to $99.99 EACH it is well worth the time to place an order on the chance that it really is a BLOW-OUT sale.     3 Birds on Parade Cartridge - $3.99   Disney Pixar Cars Cartridge - $4.99 And TONS more – I paid

MelissaStuff – One Year Birthday!

One year ago today, I decided to convert my personal blog into what is currently the MelissaStuff we have all come to know and hopefully love. If you haven’t heard the story about how I got started . . . my husband and I went on a mission trip with our youth group to Africa together. Shortly after coming back, I spoke to our local MOPS group about saving money and using the extra to help others. Many of the ladies requested that I send them the deals I used to save money, and I started by sending lots of group emails. Soon my email server started complaining about how many emails I was sending and then started shutting down my access. The only thing I could think of was to use my previously personal blog and post the deals there. I never dreamed in a year I would go from less than 50 interested friends and acquaintances to over 1000 subscribers and followers. I have met so many wonderful people and learned an enormous amount about marketing, blogging and social networking. I am n

CSN is Back!

I’m excited to announce that CSN is back and better than ever. They have changed the setup of their stores and I like it much better. It’s crazy that in one place you can find toys and ladies shoes and kitchenware and even swingsets ! The quality of everything I have ever gotten from them has been top notch. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Organic Detergent? {Giveaway}

Image
So technically, I don’t think this detergent is actually organic, but it is non-toxic and environmentally safe. Can you say that for your detergent? This product was a surprise to me. I’m not picky about my detergent, but the only thing I do care about is how my detergent smells. Before I used Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent I was concerned that it would have a chemical smell or worse the clothes would end up not smelling clean. But it smells GREAT without having any specific scent to it . . . it just smells clean . One thing that’s nice is it only takes 2 oz. to wash an entire load, so this fairly small container will do quite a number of loads – 40 to be exact. Right now, this size container is on sale for $16.99, but you can win it for FREE! Entries : (Please leave a separate comment for each of these that you complete so you get the maximum number of entries.) 1. It’s a Bird? A Plane? My Child! {Giveaway}

Image
Longtime readers will remember that I did a giveaway for PowerCapes last year . . . what better toy for children than their own super hero capes ? You get to pick the material, the colors and the letter for each cape you order so it is easy to reflect the personality of the child that will be wearing it. All of the items are personally sewn by moms and there is a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase. After purchasing capes from other online stores as well, I can tell you confidently this is the best place to buy kids capes . The quality is so much better and the final product is professional looking, not homemade like others. One of the things I love the most is that the closure at the neck is velcro. I can't tell you how often I have to stop in the middle of doing something to tie on a cape made from a towel, a blanket, or even a pair of pants. Now, they'll be able to put their own capes by themselves! I'm all for encouraging independen

Maalox Money Maker at HEB

Image
**Warning: Each store operates differently and some may not allow you to do this deal, but it should work automatically without intervention by the cashier.** In the 1/9 SmartSource insert, there was a coupon for $5/1 Maalox. That’s not terribly exciting to me as we don’t usually use Maalox in our household. However, there are reports that the cheapest Maalox at HEB is about $2.97 and when this coupon is used it takes off the full $5, resulting in almost $2 of overage!!! Many stores have a policy that they do not allow overage – which I don’t think is right considering they get reimbursed the full value of the coupon – but if your store has this policy then they may manually adjust the coupon. But if this is part of a large grocery order, I can’t imagine most cashiers are even going to think twice about the transaction. We don’t have an HEB near us, but I hope this is helpful to some of you that do. Enjoy!! Thanks Managing His Money !

Image
Feels like forever since I have had a good grocery deal to pass on, but this one is a good stocker-upper price! The deal at Albertson’s is buy 5 Quaker products at $2 each, get a Tropicana orange juice FREE. $2 each for cereal, granola bars and oatmeal isn’t bad – and the sale also include Aunt Jemima products. However, when you add in the Tropicana it makes it a good deal. AND right now there is a Quaker Catalina deal where you should get back $3 on your next shopping order for buying 5 Quaker products at once! There were $1/1 Quaker coupons in the 1/2 Red Plum insert, with those you basically are getting everything FREE! 5 - $2 Quaker products - FREE Tropicana Orange Juice - 5 $1/1 Quaker coupons TOTAL: $5 plus $3 back on the Catalina

Clothes . . . Clothes . . . And More Clothes {Giveaway}

Image
Joey and I have honestly worked hard to try to live a simple life. We purposely make an effort to not spend money on things we don’t need. We try to use the last bit of everything and stretch what we have as far as we can make it go. Most of my friends would be surprised to enter my boys room and realize they have one average size toy box that holds everything - every toy they own . . . and maybe a few socks and who knows what else. But I realized as I was doing laundry the other day that there is one area that we are not very successful in keeping simplified – our children’s clothing. My boys share a closet, but it is stuffed to overflowing with just their hanging clothes. Then they each have three drawers in their dresser that are full of socks, unders, and pajamas. There are multiple contributing factors to this issue – the boys have three sets of grandparents and four sets of aunts and uncles. All of whom love them very much and shower them with lots of gifts. We are all pr

Party?? Anyone?

Image
If you’re a mommy like me, you probably have a birthday around almost every corner. Then there are New Year’s, Christmas, Valentine’s . . . even the Super Bowl is a good reason to party. Rather than buying new supplies for each one, you can purchase products at Groovy Holidays and use them over and over. The best part is they’re ADORABLE! Mamapedia is currently offering $20 worth of reusable party supplies for just $10 , so this is a great time to buy it - ‘cuz you know there’s a party right around the corner.

Guest Post: Are You My Mother?

Image
This post came from the blog over at Reece’s Rainbow: Please? Are you my mother? Are you the mother who will gasp in shock when she sees my picture for the first time?  The one who will know that I am hers even though she has never held me or touched me? Are you the one who will work around the clock to fill out endless piles of paper so you can adopt me? The one who will plow through the house finding things to sell and who will sit up late into the night making crafts and baked goods so that I can come home? The one who will beg for donations from every man, woman and child she meets so that she can raise the money to cover my adoption expenses? Are you the one who will rush crazily around the house washing windows and vacuuming floors so that when the social worker arrives, the house will pass inspection? The one who will cry and weep at night thinking about me over here? The one who will mourn that I am not at her table and that I am not safe in bed
