Clothes . . . Clothes . . . And More Clothes {Giveaway}

Joey and I have honestly worked hard to try to live a simple life. We purposely make an effort to not spend money on things we don’t need. We try to use the last bit of everything and stretch what we have as far as we can make it go.

Most of my friends would be surprised to enter my boys room and realize they have one average size toy box that holds everything - every toy they own . . . and maybe a few socks and who knows what else.

But I realized as I was doing laundry the other day that there is one area that we are not very successful in keeping simplified – our children’s clothing.

My boys share a closet, but it is stuffed to overflowing with just their hanging clothes. Then they each have three drawers in their dresser that are full of socks, unders, and pajamas. There are multiple contributing factors to this issue – the boys have three sets of grandparents and four sets of aunts and uncles. All of whom love them very much and shower them with lots of gifts.

We are all pretty economical folk and so we purchase lots of inexpensive, sale items – which usually means my boys have about 40 t-shirts in their closets at any given time, even in winter!

I have noticed though, that while I am frequently able to pass down socks, pants, and shoes from one child to the next – many of these shirts just don’t make it. And if I’m honest, I would have to say that is very likely due to the quality of these shirts.

This shirt came for my boy who can tell you the difference in all of the tractors, trucks and diggers we cross in our daily life. He thought it was GREAT!

They are thick, heavy material that has stood up well already to the adventures of my three sons. Because of the weight, they don’t wrinkle or hang funny. They have already been washed multiple times without losing any of their vibrancy and charm. As I’m folding laundry, I know which shirts came from the Boys Store simply by how they feel!
