All Kinds of Coupons

Image
aI’ve talked before about all of the places that I find coupons, but on a regular basis I find coupons in strange or new places. Recently, it’s been: #1 – Preschool/Daycare: They had a huge stack of $1.50/2 coupons for Clorox to encourage you to buy cleaning supplies in your child’s classroom. #2 – Doctor’s Office: Our doctor’s office has a stack of small samples and coupons that you can peruse and take what you need or want. INVALUABLE. Lot of high dollar medicine coupons like $2/1 Tylenol or $3/1 Triaminic. And even things not typically “medicine” in my mind like $1/1 Desitin diaper rash cream. #3 – Grocery Store: I know peelies, blinkies and store coupons are frequently found in the grocery store. But recently at both Albertson’s and Tom Thumb, I have found large coupon books with LOTS of manufacturer’s coupons. Even if the books recommend redeeming them at a certain retailer, if they are manufacturer coupons they can be used anywhere. This has made for some incredible deals

Exciting Giveaway - $25 Gift Certificate

Image
I’m excited to tell you about our latest giveaway. Lately there have been some great deals from a new deal site from adpages.com. I’ve recently decided to partner with Adpages and bring you some more INCREDIBLE opportunities. The first step was trying out their services. So I used a credit to purchase their Clix! portrait deal . I was able to get a potrait sitting and a disk with 5 images on it for just $49. I have to admit that this is definitely my preferred way of getting pictures as prints can be VERY inexpensively made on the Internet but frequently cost an arm and a leg from the photographer directly. Besides, in our family the grandparents are generally the ones who purchase the pictures and so it doesn’t work for me to have to pick and pay at the time of the sitting. Weston just turned 6 months old and he is absolutely precious. I wanted to make sure we got a good glimpse of his personality in these pictures. I think Clix! did just that . . . I'm telling you -

Winners and More Contests!

We have a winner for the DroppsDropps giveaway – Cheryl S. – and a winner for the Quicken giveaway – Briana. Both have confirmed and their prizes will be headed their way shortly. We have two more giveaways ending tomorrow. One for Thank You cards from Pear Tree Greetings and the other for a top from Alight. If you haven’t gotten your entries in for those yet, make sure you do it before time runs out. The giveaway linky is up and ready for everyone to post their latest giveaways on . . . and I will be posting a couple of new giveaways here on MelissaStuff very soon. I know, I know you’re holding your breath waiting to see what’s in store. Better breathe, you won’t be able to read the post and enter if you’ve passed out.

Got Your Christmas Cards Yet?

Image
There have been some great deals on Christmas cards, but I think I’m going to order ours from Shutterfly this year. They have a great assortment of cards. In fact, I think the hardest part may be figuring out which card to order. I love this one because it lets me choose an assortment of text and pictures to be truly unique: And while I don’t find this one exciting visually, I love that the interior allows you to build a timeline of your year and combine your Christmas card and your annual family update letter: You can get a more economical and maybe more attractive version here in postcard format: Shutterfly has been running some great specials: If you place your order before November 4th and it totals more than $30, you can get FREE shipping with the code SHIP 30 . Plus right now you can get 25% off 50 or more cards and 20% off all address labels . Guess I need to head over and take advantage of those deals, now, huh? What are you doing?

Great Deal on Shutterfly

Yesterday

I took a test of 50 markers for autism. Most people with autism test positive for at least 32 of them. I have 29. Wonder if that has something to do with some of the issues I have . Would people respond differently if they thought some of my idiosyncracies were caused by a diagnosable illness? Would I want them to? I would still be the same person. These are the kind of things that my mind ponders.

Ladies, Want to Learn More About Football?

Image
Right now, Joe Avezzano (former special teams coach for the Dallas Cowboys) is offering a once a month class for ladies on understanding football. I think I have a pretty good handle on football after growing up with a coach for a dad, but I would be interested in taking this class just because I like Coach Joe – his gravelly voice, his quick wit . . . and since it appears that there won’t be much ON the field to discuss, at least it would be good to talk some football strategy. If you’re interested in attending, you can get $7.50 tickets here today only! The event is held at the Studio Movie Grill in Dallas on the 4th Wednesday of every month. Ladies Locker Room with Coach Joe Avezzano 11170 N. Central Expy Dallas, Texas 75243 www.llrcoachjoe.com Phone: 214-361-2966 Map It!
