AddieBugs Birthday Banner Giveaway

It probably would have made LOTS of sense to have done this giveaway as one of Colt’s birthday giveaways, seeing as it is a giveaway and it’s related to his birthday. But I didn’t.

Addiebugs Etsy store was SO sweet to rush out a custom birthday banner just for Colt’s 3 year old, Shrek pool party.
DSC03210In this picture, it looks a little bit hard to read, but in person it wasn’t. It match the colors perfectly and it is done with attention to detail and lots of effort. I was impressed and would highly recommend this store. The ends even had loops that made it totally simple to hang on this fence in the pool area.  I will definitely be using her again in the future. She can customize the banners to say and look just the way you want them to.

I love Addie’s stuff; you should most definitely head over there and look around. Make a purchase. Tell her you like what you see.

I love it when I can find a store that carries not just one thing I like, or a couple of things that are interesting . . . but ALL of their stuff makes me want to take it home with me. Not too long ago, I told you about my experience with Tropical Traditions organic coconut oil . Tropical Traditions was gracious enough to giveaway a bottle of that oil to one of the MelissaStuff readers. Recently, they offered to send me their palm shortening to try out. I love to bake so I was all about that offer. I was surprised when the “sample” arrived and it was a 1 gallon pail of shortening. I’m pretty sure that’s enough to make cookies for the next decade or so! Fair warning – when you go to use this for the first time, know that it will be difficult to get the lid off and if you aren’t particularly handy, you might want to have someone else around to help you. I didn’t and it took me about ten minutes, several different tools, and even breaking the tip off of an industrial file before I could get it. Organic Detergent? {Giveaway}

So technically, I don’t think this detergent is actually organic, but it is non-toxic and environmentally safe. Can you say that for your detergent? This product was a surprise to me. I’m not picky about my detergent, but the only thing I do care about is how my detergent smells. Before I used Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent I was concerned that it would have a chemical smell or worse the clothes would end up not smelling clean. But it smells GREAT without having any specific scent to it . . . it just smells clean . One thing that’s nice is it only takes 2 oz. to wash an entire load, so this fairly small container will do quite a number of loads – 40 to be exact.
