A Better World

Are you expecting one of my posts about worthy causes? This isn’t one.

A Better World is a new game on Facebook I was asked to try out.

With all of the aggressive, ugly games out there – it was refreshing to encounter a game that is centered on being nice, interacting with other people in a kind way.

When you start the game you create a character that you can make look anyway you like. (My 4 and 5 year old boys think that is the best part of any game! LOL) Then you visit different areas of the game where you are encouraged to contribute to a ‘better world.” You accrue points by doing acts of kindness like leaving friends messages in the “Gratitude Grotto” or giving gifts to them from the items you have collected.

Overall, there is an air of encouragement and positivity that is lacking from many online games. The game is fairly new and they are still working through some of the finer points. It takes the game awhile to load and sometimes it freezes. But I think it will eventually all run quite smoothly.

Maybe if more people played games like this, we would all be much nicer to each other!

Check out a small clip of what this game is like:

I was given the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions on A Better World. I received a gift card as a thank you for my participation. All thoughts and opinions are my own
