Your Own Worthy Cause

As you know the whole point of the MelissaStuff blog is to help you as readers save money so that you are able to give more money to worthy causes in order to help other people. I think it is critical to start teaching your children these principles.

September 11 has been officially set as a national “Day of Service.” You can check out 911DayofService.org to adopt a cause in your area and begin teaching your kids the concept of Paying it Forward. Once you adopt a cause, you can see if there is a charity in your area with an opportunity to volunteer at. (If your business or charity isn't added, you can click on the link at the bottom to get added.)

Plus, there will be a “Pay it Forward” Twitter Party on 8/31 at 7:00pm CST. Twitter parties like this are a great chance to win awesome prizes and you can share your Pay it Forward venture with others.
