Milk Smart Mama

So, I’ve been very proud of my little one and myself that we are about 3 and 1/2 months into nursing and we do VERY little supplementing. With my first two, it was fairly significant. I breastfed primarily for the first 6 weeks or so and then we bottle fed 1/3 to 1/2 of the time. With my oldest it was because I went back to work, and with my middle it was because he was underweight and I thought it was related to not getting enough breastmilk. (3 years later I now know that’s just how God made him.)

With Weston I nurse almost exclusively (unless he still acts hungry immediately following a feeding or I am away from him). In fact, on our recent family vacation I nursed everywhere! In the van, in the hotel, at the Zoo, under a tree at Sea World – I even majorly flashed a lady at the gas station because I thought the van windows were tinted enough, but the way the sun hit it exposed EVERYTHING. Sorry.

This has brought along a whole new set of challenges, most of which revolve around nursing attire. I have two nursing bras that I use interchangeably and then I try to juggle my clothing options so that I wear the easy to access items when we are out of the house. However, I’ve recently realized that it’s going to be necessary for me to find some nursing clothing if I’m going to continue to nurse so exclusively.

Enter Milk Smart Mama!

Some of the nursing clothing I’ve seen is just about hideous. It looks dated. It looks contrived – I mean really can’t you hide those access pockets a little more subtly?? But at Milk Smart Mama, there are so many options everyone should be able to find something that works for them.

The carry maternity clothing, sleepwear, nursing tops, bottoms, swimwear, underclothing. Honestly, if you’re looking for good quality nursing clothes, this is the place to go. It isn’t cheap, but if it works, looks good and lasts, it’s well worth it in my world.

Milk Smart Mama sent me this Sleeveless Baby Doll top by Milk. I didn’t realize that it also came in black, blue and green or I probably would have gone with black. But the pink is fun and works well for this crazy summer in Texas

I adore this top. I tried it on when it came in the mail and my husband laughed at me because I never took it off. It’s made of super comfortable cotton. The top is made to work well with a nursing bra or allow you to go without if you want. The smocking is firm and cut with extra material on top and bottom so that my entire chest is covered with extra material left! That never happens for me even when I’m not nursing. I half jokingly told Joey maybe I should continue to buy these clothes when I’m not nursing anymore if they’re the only ones that are ever going to fit correctly on top.

If you are needing a good nursing top or just want something that will fit your large busts I would recommend you check out Milk Smart Momma! There is free shipping on any purchase over $50 and they have some cool stuff in the clearance bin.
