Deal of the Day: Dallas Morning News Annual Subscription

Tonight I walked into one of our local Krogers (Exchange/Greenville) and was greeted by two men who said they were accepting entries into a drawing for a giftcard. As we filled out the entry, they explained they were actually offering discounted subscriptions of the Dallas Morning News to Kroger shoppers.

- 7 day a week subscription
- Twice Weekly coupons (Wednesdays before and regular Sunday)
- Discounted rate of $371 if paid up front = just more than $1 a day
- $100 in giftcards immediately
- Ability to cancel after 90 days and receive a refund of the unused portion of the subscription

So that means by signing up and committing $371 for 90 days - you have to have the financial freedom to do that - I will receive 3 months of newspapers with double the coupons of just the Sunday paper and $100 in Kroger giftcards for a total of $84!

It's a money making deal of $16 plus three months worth of coupons!

Even if you decide to keep the newspaper after the 90 days, it's the best deal you're going to find on coupons. For those of you that buy the paper weekly, you spend $5 for 2 papers. A year of that would be $260. This deal works out to be $371 - $100 gift card = $271 to have them delivered to your house instead!

Look for this kind of deal in your local stores or call and see if your local paper is doing similar deal.

Not too long ago, I told you about my experience with Tropical Traditions organic coconut oil . Organic Detergent? {Giveaway}

So technically, I don’t think this detergent is actually organic, but it is non-toxic and environmentally safe. Can you say that for your detergent? This product was a surprise to me. I’m not picky about my detergent, but the only thing I do care about is how my detergent smells. Before I used Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent I was concerned that it would have a chemical smell or worse the clothes would end up not smelling clean. {EXPIRED} Giveaway: Make Your Own Soda (Cokes!)

I have to admit that this review was one of the most FUN items we’ve done so far. My husband was actually more excited about trying it out than I was. Sodastream has an entire line of machines that allow you to make your own soda -  pop, cokes, whatever you make call it - at home. The process is super simple. We reviewed the Jet. It came in a large box. We took all of the pieces out and were able to start making drinks without washing or assembling anything. (We did rinse out the bottle just because I’m a nut like that.) There are two clear bottles to mix the drinks in, an O2 cylinder and the actual machine. You pop the O2 cylinder into the back of the machine. Then fill up one of the bottles with water to the fill line marked on the bottle. You push back on the button at the top of the front of the Sodastream machine which rocks out the Piece that the bottle screws on to.
