Maalox Money Maker at HEB
**Warning: Each store operates differently and some may not allow you to do this deal, but it should work automatically without intervention by the cashier.**
In the 1/9 SmartSource insert, there was a coupon for $5/1 Maalox. That’s not terribly exciting to me as we don’t usually use Maalox in our household.
However, there are reports that the cheapest Maalox at HEB is about $2.97 and when this coupon is used it takes off the full $5, resulting in almost $2 of overage!!!
Many stores have a policy that they do not allow overage – which I don’t think is right considering they get reimbursed the full value of the coupon – but if your store has this policy then they may manually adjust the coupon. But if this is part of a large grocery order, I can’t imagine most cashiers are even going to think twice about the transaction.
We don’t have an HEB near us, but I hope this is helpful to some of you that do. Enjoy!!
Thanks Managing His Money!
