Oh my word – is it weird that I get a rush out of doing garage sales? I love the busyness and the bartering and watching old items find new use. It’s great all the way around. It is also a LOT of work! We started with a garage that looked like this: I know you can’t really tell but the boxes on all sides were about four or five deep in all directions. Then we began by dragging boxes in every possible direction. Okay, I know it still looks like a total mess in these pictures . . . that’s because – it was! It took us almost all day and selling a good chunk of what was out there in order to get things even remotely sorted and organized. If you come tomorrow it will look much better. In fact, it looked better when we got it put BACK into the garage at the end of the day. Ha! All in all, I think the day was a success, and I know Cheryl and I are looking forward to doing this on a fairly regular basis.
